These are the terms you agree to when you order from Kawaii Crypt. We have tried to write them in plain English rather than the usual wall of capital letters.

Who we are

Kawaii Crypt is a small online shop selling accessories and small goods, operating from Connecticut, United States. You can reach a person at hello@kawaiicrypt.com.

Who can order

You need to be at least 13 to use this shop. If you are under 18, you may only order with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf. We ship to the United States only.

Orders

An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we email you a confirmation. Until then we may decline it — for example if an item turns out to be unavailable, if the price was listed incorrectly, or if the order looks fraudulent.

If we cancel an order after you have paid, you get a full refund. We will never quietly substitute a different item for the one you chose.

Prices and mistakes

Prices are in US dollars and can change at any time, but never after we have accepted your order. Shipping is a flat $5.95 per order and is shown before you pay. Sales tax, where it applies, is calculated at checkout.

We do occasionally get something wrong. If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we may cancel the order and refund you rather than honour it. We will always tell you why.

Photographs and how things look

Product images show the item as accurately as we can manage, and some of our photography is digitally produced from photographs of the actual product. Even so, images are a representation rather than a guarantee: colours vary between screens, and small items are often shown larger than life so you can see the detail. Sizes and measurements on the product page are the reliable guide.

If something arrives and it is not what the page showed, that is covered by our returns policy and we will make it right.

Delivery

Delivery windows are estimates, given per product and explained on our shipping page. We publish the slower end of the range rather than an average. If a parcel is late, the shipping page says exactly what happens next.

Returns and refunds

Set out in full on our returns and refunds page, which forms part of these terms. In short: tell us within 30 days if something is wrong with your order and we will put it right.

Using this site

Please do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site, scrape it wholesale, or resell our product photography and descriptions as your own. The text, images and design here belong to us or to the people we licence them from.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for supplying the goods you ordered, in the condition described, and for putting things right when we do not. If something goes wrong with an order, the most we owe you is the amount you paid for it, plus the shipping on it.

We are not responsible for indirect losses — for example a gift arriving too late for the occasion, or plans made around an estimated delivery date. Nothing here limits any right you have under Connecticut or United States consumer law, and where those laws give you more than this page does, they win.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it, and the date at the top tells you when this version came into effect.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that state.

If part of this does not hold up

If any single part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it still stands.
